Kostja Dicke charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antonio Schurr to strike the kick off in the second half. Olaf Hammer scored 2-2 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jens Dietrich, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Antonio Schurr, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 68 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Jens Dietrich was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 70 minutes into the game, Leonid Nix was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Wacker Gotha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alertshausen the free kick. After 70 played minutes FC Wacker Gotha got a freekick which was hit by Leonid Nix. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Jupp Seuß managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alertshausen's supporters rose to their feet, but Jupp Seuß was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niko Brömme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 76 played minutes Alertshausen got a freekick which was hit by Phil Tamm. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willy Kunze in the 81st minute of play forced FC Wacker Gotha's goalkeeper Niko Brömme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niko Brömme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willy Kunze in the 84th minute of play. Rato Boie's late challenge caught a Alertshausen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rato Boie helped the player get up and apologised. In the 90th match minute, FC Wacker Gotha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rato Boie to maneuver through the defense. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
