Federico Ramm's late challenge caught a Alertshausen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Federico Ramm helped the player get up and apologised. After 13 played minutes Monterrey FC got a freekick which was hit by Federico Ramm. When Jupp Seuß fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alertshausen's protests and gave Jupp Seuß a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Alertshausen's Jupp Seuß got a free kick in the 14th minute. When Willy Kunze came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Alertshausen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Willy Kunze couldn't finish the play. After 19 played minutes Alertshausen got a freekick which was hit by Jupp Seuß. In the 23rdth minute of the game Jupp Seuß who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monterrey FC's Fred Rudloff was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Omar Hörholdt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jens Dietrich firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jupp Seuß in the 26th minute of play forced Monterrey FC's goalkeeper Fred Rudloff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Willy Kunze in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fred Rudloff saved Monterrey FC from getting behind. If Jupp Seuß had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 42 minutes, Manfred Vetrano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monterrey FC and the Alertshausen players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Monterrey FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfred Vetrano to maneuver through the defense. Herbert Gillesen, 43 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Volker Bast recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 47 minutes, Linus Jendrossek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alertshausen and the Monterrey FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jens Dietrich had in the 49thth minute some difficulties stopping Erkan Titz's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball.

The wind increased when Volker Bast made the kick off in the second half. Willy Kunze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Willy Kunze's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fred Rudloff read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Jupp Seuß fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Rudloff having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Willy Kunze in the 62nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Phil Tamm hit a great ball. Fritz Westerwinter charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 73 played minutes Alertshausen got a freekick which was hit by Fritz Westerwinter. Omar Hörholdt struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Jens Dietrich didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monterrey FC. If Volker Bast had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Willy Kunze recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Monterrey FC's goalkeeper Fred Rudloff, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Monterrey FC's Fred Rudloff proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Monterrey FC from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Willy Kunze in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fred Rudloff prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Willy Kunze recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jupp Seuß received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Fred Rudloff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Fred Rudloff successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Omar Hörholdt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
