With a left leg Kamil Kraft saved Ollacker from getting behind. 42 minutes into the match, ZFC Turbine's goal looked a bit too open when Ulf Zapf came free, but Lasse Batsch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After having played for 54 minutes, Reinhard Weiss managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ZFC Turbine's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reinhard Weiss was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ollacker had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
