With his leg Drees Fritz managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Wohlerst's Frank-Dieter Appelt fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wolf Pitsch stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Marius Meul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th minute Frank-Dieter Appelt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Drees Fritz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Drees Fritz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank-Dieter Appelt in the 72nd minute of the match. Drees Fritz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marius Meul, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Drees Fritz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank-Dieter Appelt's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Wohlerst's Frank-Dieter Appelt got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frank-Dieter Appelt took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Drees Fritz. Drees Fritz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. When Wohlerst's Marius Meul in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bernau e.V.'s goalie prevented a goal. After 91 played minutes Bernau e.V. got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Stötzel. Bernau e.V.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
