Spectators: 6715 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1715, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Karl Martin Bachmann started the match with the kick off. Egon Juratovic's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fredy Bachmann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. After 8 played minutes Greifenstein got a freekick which was hit by Karl Martin Bachmann. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Albrecht Meisel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Greifenstein's supporters rose to their feet, but Albrecht Meisel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Detleff Scheerer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Greifenstein booed when SG Bühlau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kai Plank didn't get a good kick on the ball. Detleff Scheerer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albrecht Meisel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ansbert Ahrend had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, Kai Plank had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fredy Bachmann. Greifenstein's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kai Plank was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Fredy Bachmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egon Juratovic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karl Martin Bachmann hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Ansbert Ahrend recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute, Kai Plank hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 37 minutes into the match, Greifenstein's Benjamin Pletz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Greifenstein's zone, Kai Plank stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fredy Bachmann came out of the goal and Kai Plank tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SG Bühlau's Ansbert Ahrend got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kai Plank received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Fredy Bachmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SG Bühlau's Kai Plank got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ansbert Ahrend stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Kai Plank managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SG Bühlau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kai Plank was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ansbert Ahrend was extremely unlucky when he, in the 55th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Abi Walloch hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Egon Juratovic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Fredy Bachmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fredy Bachmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Egon Juratovic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albrecht Meisel came free in the 66th minute and tried to tip the ball over Detleff Scheerer, but to the joy of SG Bühlau's supporters the ball went over. Karl Martin Bachmann fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 76th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. SG Bühlau's Ansbert Ahrend got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute Kai Plank shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredy Bachmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Kai Plank kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fredy Bachmann. That made the score 0-2 in the 94 minute of play.
