Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The audience was convinced that Sascha Schnabel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Shingo Karis was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marius Meul in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Björn Nadel saved Benstorf FSV from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Benstorf FSV's zone, Marius Meul stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Björn Nadel came out of the goal and Marius Meul tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Wohlerst getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Fabian Groß hit a great ball. If Roland Gehring had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marco Strampfer during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marco Strampfer hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After 34 played minutes Wohlerst got a freekick which was hit by Werner Dettke. Zwi Koop, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 38 played minutes Wohlerst got a freekick which was hit by Marius Meul. In the 44th minute Marius Meul shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Björn Nadel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roland Gehring struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Shingo Karis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Benstorf FSV. A collision led to Wohlerst getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Johannes-Paul Eller hit a great ball. Benstorf FSV's Sascha Schnabel got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sascha Schnabel made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marius Meul in the 56th minute of play forced Benstorf FSV's goalkeeper Björn Nadel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sascha Schnabel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shingo Karis having to interfere. Shingo Karis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sascha Schnabel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 71 minutes, Roland Gehring managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Benstorf FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roland Gehring was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Björn Nadel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank-Dieter Appelt in the 77th minute of the match. If Roland Gehring had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benstorf FSV's Roland Gehring got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Benstorf FSV fans' excitement grew in the 85th match minute when Benstorf FSV's Sascha Schnabel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Frank-Dieter Appelt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
