In the 7th minute Fortunato Niggemann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irvin Willmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Henning's late challenge caught a Arminia Bielefeld's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Henning helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, BSC Airwater's Manuel Henning got a free kick in the 8th minute. With a little luck, Arminia Bielefeld's Gabor Blohberger got control of the ball when Benjamin Schütze tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bonito Bienstock hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. BSC Airwater's Irvin Willmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fortunato Niggemann in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th play minute Benjamin Schütze came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gabor Blohberger. 1-0. The supporters of BSC Airwater booed when Arminia Bielefeld was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yussuf Schwunk didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to BSC Airwater getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Manuel Henning hit a great ball. Fortunato Niggemann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Irvin Willmann having to interfere. Arminia Bielefeld's Fortunato Niggemann got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Fortunato Niggemann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arminia Bielefeld's supporters rose to their feet, but Fortunato Niggemann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Irvin Willmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in BSC Airwater's zone, Fortunato Niggemann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Irvin Willmann came out of the goal and Fortunato Niggemann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Alois Juhr took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Gabor Blohberger to make any attempt to save it. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alois Juhr made a kick off. Jürgen Gömleksiz kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Gabor Blohberger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Schütze in the 54th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the game, Fortunato Niggemann recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Irvin Willmann. Fortunato Niggemann showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Gabor Blohberger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alois Juhr, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Arminia Bielefeld's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Schütze came free, but Gabor Blohberger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 75 played minutes BSC Airwater got a freekick which was hit by Dittmar Burger. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Fortunato Niggemann sped through BSC Airwater's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Irvin Willmann. Fortunato Niggemann scored 2-3 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Irvin Willmann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
