Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Johannes-Markus Howeg took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to Arminia Bielefeld getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Patrik Plappert hit a great ball. Martin Birke took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gabor Blohberger. Arminia Bielefeld's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gabor Blohberger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johannes-Markus Howeg in the 8th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Einar Sell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gabor Blohberger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gabor Blohberger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Johannes-Markus Howeg went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Fortunato Niggemann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Brehna's Sven Fechter got control of the ball when Fortunato Niggemann tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Einar Sell in the 39th minute of play forced Arminia Bielefeld's goalkeeper Gabor Blohberger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arminia Bielefeld's Gabor Blohberger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mladen Karwath in the 40th minute of play. Gabor Blohberger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arne Meyer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Arminia Bielefeld getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Fortunato Niggemann hit a great ball. 48 minutes into the game, Johannes-Markus Howeg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Gabor Blohberger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The wind increased when Fortunato Niggemann made the kick off in the second half. If Jürgen Gömleksiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johannes-Markus Howeg in the 62nd minute of play forced Arminia Bielefeld's goalkeeper Gabor Blohberger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Martin Birke fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brehna's protests and gave Martin Birke a yellow card for diving instead. After 68 minutes of play, Brehna's Einar Sell made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gabor Blohberger was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arminia Bielefeld's Gabor Blohberger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Arminia Bielefeld from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd minute of the match, Johannes-Markus Howeg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gabor Blohberger saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 74 minutes, Fortunato Niggemann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arminia Bielefeld's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fortunato Niggemann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 84thth minute of the game Arne Meyer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arminia Bielefeld's Gabor Blohberger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arminia Bielefeld's Gabor Blohberger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Arminia Bielefeld from getting a goal against them. 88 minutes into the match, Johannes-Markus Howeg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gabor Blohberger, 1-5. Sven Fechter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fortunato Niggemann in the 91st minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Arminia Bielefeld's goal looked a bit too open when Mladen Karwath came free, but Gabor Blohberger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jack-Peter Zahl hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the match was over Brehna could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Arminia Bielefeld throughout the match.
