Spectators: 7467 (Terracing: 5601, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 149) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Conny Vogel got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Stuttgart's zone, Mustafa Faust stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Volker Böhland came out of the goal and Mustafa Faust tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manuel Bechthold kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. With a little luck, Stuttgart's Volker Böhland got control of the ball when Hartwig Kirchberger tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hartwig Kirchberger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Volker Böhland having to interfere. A collision led to Schwaförden getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Wolf Feindt hit a great ball. Schwaförden's Benny Jarkovsky played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lester Felich in the 20th minute of play. Hartwig Kirchberger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Volker Böhland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Stuttgart's Lester Felich in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Schwaförden's goalie prevented a goal. Benny Jarkovsky made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adé Remse in the 27th minute of play. Mustafa Faust received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Volker Böhland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Lester Felich's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benny Jarkovsky was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Edmund Arbogast kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The supporters of Stuttgart booed when Schwaförden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Pflug didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Conny Vogel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benny Jarkovsky was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mustafa Faust made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Hartwig Kirchberger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Volker Böhland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lester Felich had several of the Schwaförden's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 56 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Benny Jarkovsky as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 64th minute, Lester Felich got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benny Jarkovsky made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conny Vogel in the 66th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Stuttgart's Zlatko Rieth got a free kick in the 68th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Lester Felich could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Benny Jarkovsky however easily saved by the left post. Conny Vogel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute of the match, Conny Vogel tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Benny Jarkovsky saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 84th minute, Lester Felich ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benny Jarkovsky was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. After a rather tough play, Stuttgart's Zlatko Rieth got a free kick in the 87th minute. Conny Vogel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benny Jarkovsky having to interfere. Conny Vogel struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Benny Jarkovsky didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stuttgart. Stuttgart's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
