Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cornelis Kunze kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kilian Decker in the 3rd minute of play forced Seeon's goalkeeper Eckart Eck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Arno Hennig came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Seeon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arno Hennig couldn't finish the play. Eckart Eck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kilian Decker in the 14th minute of play. Ekpenyong Benkel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arno Hennig's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Roger Funke skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Joachim Müllerschön's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eckart Eck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. If Cornelis Kunze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arno Hennig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cornelis Kunze struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Roger Funke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Seeon. Benny Hanewinckel hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Roger Funke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Philipp Schabert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Seeon's goal looked a bit too open when Kilian Decker came free, but Eckart Eck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arno Hennig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cornelis Kunze received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Roger Funke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Seeon getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Erik Mört hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Iserlohn's Jürgen Mühlfort broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 46 minutes, Kilian Decker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iserlohn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kilian Decker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cornelis Kunze in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roger Funke saved Iserlohn from getting behind. Gustav Feuerstein kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Seeon's attentive Ekpenyong Benkel managed to snatch the ball when Jürgen Bilger made a throw-in in the 69th minute of the game. When Ekpenyong Benkel came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Seeon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ekpenyong Benkel couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Seeon's Eckart Eck got control of the ball when Kilian Decker tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joachim Müllerschön sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kilian Decker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Eckart Eck made a huge save. Ekpenyong Benkel charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ekpenyong Benkel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Seeon's Ekpenyong Benkel got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Iserlohn's Roger Funke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arno Hennig in the 84th minute of play. Cornelis Kunze recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roger Funke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornelis Kunze in the 88th minute of the match. When Arno Hennig fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Seeon's protests and gave Arno Hennig a yellow card for diving instead. Eckart Eck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joachim Müllerschön, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 96 minutes into the game, Iserlohn's Kilian Decker nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eckart Eck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1.
