Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Klemens Graumenz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patrick Orth having to make a save. Patrick Orth made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Ioannis zum Felde sent off a good shot on target. Klemens Graumenz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th minute, Struthütten FC's Klemens Graumenz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Patrick Orth. Patrick Orth yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 22nd match minute, Werder Bremen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tsuneo Obele to maneuver through the defense. Ioannis zum Felde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Malte Thamm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Werder Bremen's supporters rose to their feet, but Malte Thamm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bryan Pfeiffer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Patrick Orth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klemens Graumenz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th match minute, Struthütten FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wolf-Rüdiger Baruch to maneuver through the defense. Patrick Orth made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Ioannis zum Felde sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Werder Bremen's Friedrich Riess got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute, Ioannis zum Felde ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Patrick Orth was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Struthütten FC's Berthold Kohl pulled a muscle in his back after 44 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Christoph Pluta fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Werder Bremen's protests and gave Christoph Pluta a yellow card for diving instead. Christoph Pluta kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. If Ioannis zum Felde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ioannis zum Felde made a kick off. Klement Baluszynski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Bryan Pfeiffer made a huge save. Bryan Pfeiffer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tsuneo Obele's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Malte Thamm struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Bryan Pfeiffer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Werder Bremen. Malte Thamm succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-2 in the 59th playminute. Malte Thamm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryan Pfeiffer having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, one of Struthütten FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Struthütten FC. The referee gave Werder Bremen a penalty, 74 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alexander Herber, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Struthütten FC's Bryan Pfeiffer. 2-3. An unexpected shot in the 77th minute by Malte Thamm got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Tsuneo Obele fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryan Pfeiffer having to interfere. Bryan Pfeiffer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tsuneo Obele, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute of the match Werder Bremen got a corner. Struthütten FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alexander Herber ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 88th minute, Werder Bremen's Tsuneo Obele ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bryan Pfeiffer. Bryan Pfeiffer yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tsuneo Obele in the 98th minute of play forced Struthütten FC's goalkeeper Bryan Pfeiffer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Werder Bremen had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
