Melvin Schebesta who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Dag Kästel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Großholthausen's Friedemann Lung got a free kick in the 24th minute. Melvin Schebesta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Dag Kästel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melvin Schebesta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Dag Kästel made a huge save. In the 36th minute of the match Rainer Maria Piepenburg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dag Kästel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. SUS Rayen's Melvin Schebesta managed to work through Großholthausen's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Melvin Schebesta dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. With his leg Dag Kästel managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when SUS Rayen's Melvin Schebesta fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulf Weber to make the kick off. Großholthausen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roswin Buchmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to SUS Rayen getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Immanuel Rüggeberg hit a great ball. Roswin Buchmann in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Max Klingenbeck, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With an all-out effort, Großholthausen's Max Klingenbeck threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Albo Bruns, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dag Kästel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melvin Schebesta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Großholthausen's goal looked a bit too open when Ulf Weber came free, but Dag Kästel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SUS Rayen fully deserved thier win.
