After a defensive mix-up in TSV Cossebaude's zone, Tsuneo Obele stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Immanuel Neitzel came out of the goal and Tsuneo Obele tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sven Nimako got his second yellow card in the match during the 23rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Sven Nimako kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. If Malte Thamm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Immanuel Neitzel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tsuneo Obele, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 37th minute Friedrich Riess suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Ernst Schürhoff was shown his second yellow card after 38 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 55th minute, Malte Thamm got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Malte Thamm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Immanuel Neitzel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Franz Rolker fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TSV Cossebaude's protests and gave Franz Rolker a yellow card for diving instead. Franz Rolker kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Immanuel Neitzel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Malte Thamm in the 68th minute of the match. Malte Thamm took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Immanuel Neitzel. Immanuel Neitzel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 76th minute, Malte Thamm fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When Tsuneo Obele came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Werder Bremen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tsuneo Obele couldn't finish the play. Immanuel Neitzel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tsuneo Obele's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Malte Thamm got free with Immanuel Neitzel in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 84 in the game by Malte Thamm from a close distance when the talented Immanuel Neitzel managed to make a qualified save. TSV Cossebaude's players were relieved. 84 minutes in the game, Malte Thamm dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Malte Thamm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Immanuel Neitzel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Werder Bremen's Christoph Pluta got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
