Heiko Hardt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Stefan Lelke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Didier Starke in the 11th minute of play forced CNS-POL-SE's goalkeeper Thilo Baum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stanislaw Pistauer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sondershausen FSV's Stanislaw Pistauer in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CNS-POL-SE's goalie prevented a goal. When Wolfram Krukow fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CNS-POL-SE's protests and gave Wolfram Krukow a yellow card for diving instead. Wolfram Krukow hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Sondershausen FSV defense, Heiko Hardt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stefan Lelke. The Sondershausen FSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stefan Lelke should have stopped the shot. After 32 played minutes CNS-POL-SE got a freekick which was hit by Jorck Fickert. In the 37th minute, Heiko Hardt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stefan Lelke was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 41 minutes into the game, Stanislaw Pistauer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Thilo Baum was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Heiko Hardt was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Stanislaw Pistauer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sondershausen FSV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Stanislaw Pistauer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Thilo Baum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CNS-POL-SE's Wolfram Krukow got his second yellow card of the match in the 61st minute. The referee ordered Wolfram Krukow off the ground. In the 62nd match minute, CNS-POL-SE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wolfram Krukow to maneuver through the defense. Didier Starke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thilo Baum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stanislaw Pistauer in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute Didier Starke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thilo Baum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thilo Baum came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Sondershausen FSV's Stanislaw Pistauer. But to his dismay, Stanislaw Pistauer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Heinrich Kunze's late challenge caught a Sondershausen FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Heinrich Kunze helped the player get up and apologised. Ronaldinho Diebold took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 79th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Thilo Baum. CNS-POL-SE's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Stanislaw Pistauer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Didier Starke's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thilo Baum was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sondershausen FSV's goalkeeper Stefan Lelke, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Didier Starke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stanislaw Pistauer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Thilo Baum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thilo Baum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Didier Starke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sondershausen FSV's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
