The audience thought a goal was coming when Stanislaw Pistauer got free with Niko Echterhoff in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Niko Echterhoff made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Stanislaw Pistauer sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Brian Staheli sped through Sondershausen FSV's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Stefan Lelke.
