The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Krister Nunold during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Krister Nunold kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. If Edwin Stotz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Edwin Stotz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Keulos's supporters rose to their feet, but Edwin Stotz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niko Echterhoff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edwin Stotz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Niko Echterhoff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Niko Röhner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hanns Diller having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Görschnitz FC's Krister Nunold got a free kick in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Thielemann in the 23rd minute of play forced Görschnitz FC's goalkeeper Niko Echterhoff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Keulos fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Keulos's Edwin Stotz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 35 minutes, Leonid Strauch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Görschnitz FC and the Keulos players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Görschnitz FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Leonid Strauch hit a great ball. In the 40th minute Peter Thielemann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niko Echterhoff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hanns Diller showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brian Staheli, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The supporters of Görschnitz FC booed when Keulos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edwin Stotz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Peter Thielemann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 51st minute of the game. One of Görschnitz FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Keulos:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Thielemann in the 63rd minute of play forced Görschnitz FC's goalkeeper Niko Echterhoff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niko Echterhoff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Thielemann in the 66th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Görschnitz FC's goalkeeper Niko Echterhoff had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edwin Stotz. Peter Thielemann might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Niko Echterhoff. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peter Thielemann ran back to his position shaking his head. Hans Hertel kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, Görschnitz FC's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Thielemann came free, but Niko Echterhoff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 90 played minutes Görschnitz FC got a freekick which was hit by Gunter Dohr. Niko Echterhoff made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edwin Stotz in the 98th minute. The Keulos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Keulos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
