To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 15 minutes into the match, Sektion Birne's Kuno Lembeck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joachim Brandborn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hassan Groll kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Iserlohner Heide FC's Matthias Dutzi couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 17th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sektion Birne. After a rather tough play, Sektion Birne's Torsten Zastrow got a free kick in the 20th minute. Joachim Brandborn came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Sektion Birne's Kuno Lembeck. But to his dismay, Kuno Lembeck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Sektion Birne's Guy Bader played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johann Ebbenga in the 39th minute of play. Fred Merker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guy Bader having to interfere. Johann Ebbenga struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Guy Bader didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iserlohner Heide FC. The Iserlohner Heide FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sektion Birne were winning 0-1.
