The referee ignored Wehnen FSV's protests and gave Adonis Kürten a yellow card for diving instead. Adonis Kürten kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mike Raubold in the 7th minute of play forced Wehnen FSV's goalkeeper Uwe-Jens Mager to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bartolomeo Weißbrot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leo Ochs's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Wehnen FSV's Christian Kehr sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bartolomeo Weißbrot narrowly saved just below the crossbar. SuS Scheidingen's Bartolomeo Weißbrot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save SuS Scheidingen from getting a goal against them. Adam Troxler charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adam Troxler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Wehnen FSV getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Adam Troxler hit a great ball. Bartolomeo Weißbrot came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Wehnen FSV's Christian Kehr. But to his dismay, Christian Kehr quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The supporters of Wehnen FSV booed when SuS Scheidingen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Volker Kosack didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frederic Schulz, 30 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Bartolomeo Weißbrot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Ochs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Christian Kehr managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wehnen FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Kehr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bartolomeo Weißbrot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leo Ochs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartolomeo Weißbrot having to interfere. With his leg Bartolomeo Weißbrot managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Wehnen FSV's Christian Kehr fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The supporters of SuS Scheidingen booed when Wehnen FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justus Keiderling didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Leo Ochs came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Wehnen FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leo Ochs couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leo Ochs to make the kick off. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wehnen FSV's goalkeeper Uwe-Jens Mager, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
