Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 7 played minutes 1. FC Nürnberg got a freekick which was hit by Fabian März. 8 minutes into the match, Klaus Dieter Kindermann notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of 1. FC Nürnberg's Ulrik Scheer. Ulrik Scheer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 12 minutes into the match, Enger FSV's goalkeeper Sievert Eschbach had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hans Lehnecke. 1. FC Nürnberg's Hans Lehnecke got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Kasimir Weißgerber came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Enger FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kasimir Weißgerber couldn't finish the play. Kasimir Weißgerber struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Ulrik Scheer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Enger FSV. 42 minutes into the match, 1. FC Nürnberg's goal looked a bit too open when Kasimir Weißgerber came free, but Ulrik Scheer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, 1. FC Nürnberg's Arik Bruhnke got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After 48 played minutes 1. FC Nürnberg got a freekick which was hit by Hans Lehnecke. The 1. FC Nürnberg players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Enger FSV were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kasimir Weißgerber was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Klaus Dieter Kindermann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ulrik Scheer. 1. FC Nürnberg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Klaus Dieter Kindermann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 56 played minutes Enger FSV got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Burgdorf. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jörg Dudek in the 63rd minute of play forced Enger FSV's goalkeeper Sievert Eschbach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Enger FSV's zone, Jörg Dudek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sievert Eschbach came out of the goal and Jörg Dudek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Alfred Storch fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Enger FSV's protests and gave Alfred Storch a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Enger FSV got a freekick which was hit by Alfred Storch. Sievert Eschbach took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Lehnecke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute, Klaus Dieter Kindermann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jörg Dudek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Sievert Eschbach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Klaus Dieter Kindermann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Enger FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Klaus Dieter Kindermann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulrik Scheer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kasimir Weißgerber had several of the 1. FC Nürnberg's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 81 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-3 score and a disappointed Ulrik Scheer as he didn't even see the shot coming. Klaus Dieter Kindermann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Ulrik Scheer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jörg Dudek took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sievert Eschbach. Sievert Eschbach dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Klaus Dieter Kindermann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Ulrik Scheer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1. FC Nürnberg's Enno Jittler suffered a concussion after 95 minutes and had to leave the field. After 95 minutes, Fabian Burgdorf mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Enger FSV and the 1. FC Nürnberg players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Enger FSV's Fabian Burgdorf got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Enger FSV players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
