After 22 played minutes Enger FSV got a freekick which was hit by Noah Joithe. Lennie Gräßer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sievert Eschbach. Enger FSV's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 1.FC Do Ping's Marvin Nimz got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Marvin Nimz took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Sievert Eschbach to make any attempt to save it. Kasimir Weißgerber charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kasimir Weißgerber the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Kasimir Weißgerber hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Kasimir Weißgerber struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Ludwig Pfitzner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Enger FSV. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marvin Nimz in the 46th minute of play forced Enger FSV's goalkeeper Sievert Eschbach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 47 played minutes Enger FSV got a freekick which was hit by Blaise Götze. Enger FSV's Sievert Eschbach proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Enger FSV from getting a goal against them. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marvin Nimz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, 1.FC Do Ping's goal looked a bit too open when Kasimir Weißgerber came free, but Ludwig Pfitzner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Marvin Nimz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sievert Eschbach was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Klaus Dieter Kindermann got free with Ludwig Pfitzner in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kasimir Weißgerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Enger FSV booed when 1.FC Do Ping was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Donnerbauer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Klaus Dieter Kindermann who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Ludwig Pfitzner when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kasimir Weißgerber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Klaus Dieter Kindermann in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ludwig Pfitzner, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ludwig Pfitzner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kasimir Weißgerber in the 88th minute of play. 1.FC Do Ping's Ludwig Pfitzner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save 1.FC Do Ping from getting a goal against them. In the 95th minute Kasimir Weißgerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludwig Pfitzner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
