Torsten Leihkauf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rupert Renger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in FC Saufhampton's zone, Rupert Renger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torsten Leihkauf came out of the goal and Rupert Renger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Colonia Agrippina's Alexander Woll got a free kick in the 17th minute. Lars Rybohl hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, FC Saufhampton's Yannis Witzke tried to score from far away in the 19th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Marco Lüpke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Hendrik Stark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hans Seel charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hans Seel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Saufhampton booed when Colonia Agrippina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Seel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 played minutes, FC Saufhampton's Yannis Witzke shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hendrik Stark came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Saufhampton reached it. Lars Rybohl hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After 28 played minutes Colonia Agrippina got a freekick which was hit by Lars Rybohl. If Rupert Renger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colonia Agrippina's Lauritz Marohn got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Torsten Leihkauf stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rupert Renger's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. After 35 played minutes FC Saufhampton got a freekick which was hit by Adnan Sann. The referee gave FC Saufhampton a penalty, 43 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Yannis Witzke, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Colonia Agrippina's Hendrik Stark. 0-1. Folke Hasse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marco Lüpke to make the kick off. Marco Lüpke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Hendrik Stark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 63 played minutes Marco Lüpke could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 0-2 into the left cross. The FC Saufhampton fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when FC Saufhampton's Folke Hasse looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 75th minute, Folke Hasse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Colonia Agrippina's Lauritz Marohn got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Marco Lüpke came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the FC Saufhampton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Lüpke couldn't finish the play. Colonia Agrippina's Hendrik Stark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Lüpke in the 89th minute of play. Marco Lüpke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Colonia Agrippina supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Saufhampton's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Saufhampton.
