SV 09 Staßfurt e.V.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustav Segmüller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patrick Lötzer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gustav Segmüller's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Alfons Lücker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reiner Gaede in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Klaus Männel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
