The supporters of Esparion booed when Ajax Amsterdam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruprecht Bansen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esparion's Tord Balla got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amatus Poll charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amatus Poll the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alexander Plank showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Holger Bendel in the 91st minute of the match. After 93 minutes, Holger Bendel made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Ajax Amsterdam's Alexander Plank tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Holger Bendel in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexander Plank prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Holger Bendel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Alexander Plank didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esparion. Ajax Amsterdam succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Esparion had controlled the match.
