Bruno Grundmann started the match with the kick off. Commerden's defense didn't have a chance, in the 4th minute, when Bruno Grundmann scored to the left of an out of position Klaus-Dieter Kurtz, making the score, 1-0. After 12 minutes of play, Commerden's Rico Rogosch made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Uli Burmeister was left in no man's land by his defense there! 16 minutes into the match, G A M E O V E R's goal looked a bit too open when Berthold Hambloch came free, but Uli Burmeister reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Berthold Hambloch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uli Burmeister having to interfere. Bernd Roßberger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Klaus-Dieter Kurtz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eibo Anhalter during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 27 played minutes Commerden got a freekick which was hit by Eibo Anhalter. Commerden's Berthold Hambloch got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rico Rogosch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berthold Hambloch in the 44th minute of play forced G A M E O V E R's goalkeeper Uli Burmeister to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rico Rogosch to make the kick off. Bruno Grundmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Klaus-Dieter Kurtz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that David Guttenberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Klaus-Dieter Kurtz was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. 63 minutes into the match, Commerden's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Grundmann came free, but Klaus-Dieter Kurtz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Commerden's Thorben Boschmann got a free kick in the 64th minute. Commerden's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave G A M E O V E R the free kick. In the 70th match minute, Commerden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Friedemann Hunold to maneuver through the defense. Bruno Grundmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind G A M E O V E R's goalkeeper Uli Burmeister, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Commerden were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after G A M E O V E R's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kalle Bierkamp took the corner. Klaus-Dieter Kurtz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Grundmann in the 84th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Josef Mieth during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of G A M E O V E R booed when Commerden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josef Mieth didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rico Rogosch fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Commerden's protests and gave Rico Rogosch a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of G A M E O V E R booed when Commerden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rico Rogosch didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Commerden eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
