Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jörg Illing made the kick off and thus started the match. 4 minutes into the match, 1.FC Fulda's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Edinger came free, but David Seelig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 10 minutes into the game, Marcel Edinger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. David Seelig was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 15 minutes, Harry Berssenbrügge managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 1.FC Fulda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harry Berssenbrügge was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18th minute Jörg Illing shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Seelig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berti Michael in the 20th minute of play forced 1.FC Fulda's goalkeeper David Seelig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Seelig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörg Illing in the 23rd minute of play. If Harry Berssenbrügge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Salvatore Marx came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the 1.FC Fulda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Salvatore Marx couldn't finish the play. 1.FC Fulda's Bert Chakravorty got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Düddingen's Julius Dierking proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Düddingen from getting a goal against them. Bert Chakravorty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Julius Dierking tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Seelig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel Edinger in the 46th minute of play. Harry Berssenbrügge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Marcel Edinger blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Seelig having to make a save. In the 53rd minute, Hugh Weinmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Harry Berssenbrügge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salvatore Marx took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julius Dierking. Julius Dierking dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Julius Dierking came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by 1.FC Fulda's Harry Berssenbrügge. But to his dismay, Harry Berssenbrügge quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 67th minute, Marcel Edinger made a precise shot to the right of David Seelig. 1.FC Fulda's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Julius Dierking made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harry Berssenbrügge in the 74th minute of play. 1.FC Fulda's Harry Berssenbrügge got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Düddingen's zone, Salvatore Marx stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julius Dierking came out of the goal and Salvatore Marx tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julius Dierking didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Harry Berssenbrügge went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. 86 minutes into the game, Berti Michael was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Düddingen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 1.FC Fulda the free kick. After a rather tough play, Düddingen's Berti Michael got a free kick in the 86th minute. Düddingen's Julius Dierking played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulrich Spichermann in the 88th minute of play. Julius Dierking showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harry Berssenbrügge, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Salvatore Marx in the 96th minute of play forced Düddingen's goalkeeper Julius Dierking to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 1.FC Fulda walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
