Spectators: 6735 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marc-Dominic Zichmann started the match with the kick off. The Benteler FC fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Benteler FC's Rasmus Boxmann looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Hubert Hafner charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hubert Hafner the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 11 played minutes Schmarloh FC got a freekick which was hit by Hubert Hafner. After having played for 20 minutes, Rasmus Boxmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Benteler FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rasmus Boxmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute of the match Gernot Boog sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hasso Rauh skillfully saved the ball. When Rasmus Boxmann came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Benteler FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rasmus Boxmann couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Benteler FC's zone, Albrecht Achteresch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hasso Rauh came out of the goal and Albrecht Achteresch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Schmarloh FC's Albrecht Achteresch got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 37th minute Marc-Dominic Zichmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hasso Rauh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute Alfonso Lendemans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Hopp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rasmus Boxmann to make the kick off. When Benteler FC's Rasmus Boxmann in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Schmarloh FC's goalie prevented a goal. Karsten Dehm charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karsten Dehm the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 55 played minutes Schmarloh FC got a freekick which was hit by Karsten Dehm. Alfonso Lendemans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Hopp having to interfere. Rasmus Boxmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute, Alfonso Lendemans fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Armando Hopp, passed just outside the right post. Armando Hopp made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Alfonso Lendemans sent off a good shot on target. In the 69th match minute, Benteler FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Lendemans to maneuver through the defense. Rasmus Boxmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Hopp having to interfere. A collision led to Schmarloh FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Gernot Boog hit a great ball. In the 80th minute of the match Dirk-Justus Kuhlins shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Armando Hopp showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Rasmus Boxmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Hopp having to interfere. Armando Hopp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rasmus Boxmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. If Alfonso Lendemans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benteler FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
