Niklas Hefter came out of the goal and Salvatore Marx tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Salvatore Marx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 20 played minutes MTV WOLFENBÜTTEL got a freekick which was hit by Lewis Hiemer. Hugh Weinmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niklas Hefter having to interfere. Laurent Fuchs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to MTV WOLFENBÜTTEL getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Ewald Springer hit a great ball. Kristian Hahns short, quick shot in the 33rdth minute got David Seelig to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 1.FC Fulda's Hugh Weinmann got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for MTV WOLFENBÜTTEL! In the 40th minute there was a penalty for 1.FC Fulda. Ulrich Spichermann stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Niklas Hefter. 0-1. MTV WOLFENBÜTTEL's Niklas Hefter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry Berssenbrügge in the 45th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kristian Hahn made a kick off. Ulrich Spichermann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Niklas Hefter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lewis Hiemer during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of 1.FC Fulda booed when MTV WOLFENBÜTTEL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lewis Hiemer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 62 played minutes MTV WOLFENBÜTTEL got a freekick which was hit by Elmer Jäck. Laurent Fuchs got his second yellow card in the match during the 65th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Laurent Fuchs hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 75 minutes into the match, MTV WOLFENBÜTTEL's Kristian Hahn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Seelig narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 76th minute, Harry Berssenbrügge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lewis Hiemer was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. If Harry Berssenbrügge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niklas Hefter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugh Weinmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Niklas Hefter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hugh Weinmann in the 89th minute. Harro Mauer kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Elmer Jäck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Seelig having to interfere.
