Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Görzhausen's Björn Schützer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kristian Hahn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernd Grunewald having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Görzhausen's zone, Harro Mauer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernd Grunewald came out of the goal and Harro Mauer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Burkhard Barthel kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After 15 played minutes MTV WOLFENBÜTTEL got a freekick which was hit by Harro Mauer. Philipp Grüner came free with the goalkeeper in the 16th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Niklas Hefter could save by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Harro Mauer managed to get in a good position for a shot. MTV WOLFENBÜTTEL's supporters rose to their feet, but Harro Mauer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernd Grunewald breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Björn Schützer charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Björn Schützer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th minute, Björn Schützer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kristian Hahn might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernd Grunewald. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kristian Hahn ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 30th minute Klaus Götz suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 30 minutes, Richard Zinn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MTV WOLFENBÜTTEL and the Görzhausen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Philipp Grüner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 36 in the game by Leon Holz from a close distance when the talented Niklas Hefter managed to make a qualified save. MTV WOLFENBÜTTEL's players were relieved. Niklas Hefter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Philipp Grüner in the 38th minute. Harro Mauer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Bernd Grunewald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Harro Mauer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niklas Hefter made an important save on a dangerous shot by Philipp Grüner in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 54th minute Kristian Hahn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernd Grunewald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Görzhausen's Philipp Grüner got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Philipp Grüner ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Niklas Hefter was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Kristian Hahn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Bernd Grunewald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Burkhard Barthel in the 64th minute of play forced MTV WOLFENBÜTTEL's goalkeeper Niklas Hefter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. MTV WOLFENBÜTTEL's Harro Mauer got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 73 minutes of play, MTV WOLFENBÜTTEL's Harro Mauer made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernd Grunewald was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kristian Hahn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernd Grunewald having to interfere. When Philipp Grüner came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Görzhausen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Philipp Grüner couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute, one of MTV WOLFENBÜTTEL:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MTV WOLFENBÜTTEL. The referee gave Görzhausen a penalty, 89 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jo Irgang, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of MTV WOLFENBÜTTEL's Niklas Hefter. 2-1. Elmer Jäck hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 95th match minute, Görzhausen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Burkhard Barthel to maneuver through the defense. MTV WOLFENBÜTTEL's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Görzhausen had won, even though MTV WOLFENBÜTTEL had held more of the ball.
