Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Björn Schützer made the kick off which started today's match. When Benteler FC's Alfonso Lendemans in the 4th minute got a chance for a shot 4th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Görzhausen's goalie prevented a goal. Hasso Rauh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Björn Schützer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Philipp Grüner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 8 played minutes Benteler FC got a freekick which was hit by Klemens Abel. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Björn Schützer in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hasso Rauh saved Benteler FC from getting behind. Philipp Grüner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Philipp Grüner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hasso Rauh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Björn Schützer, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After having played for 20 minutes, Alfonso Lendemans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Benteler FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Lendemans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Görzhausen's zone, Alfonso Lendemans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernd Grunewald came out of the goal and Alfonso Lendemans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfonso Lendemans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernd Grunewald read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Bernd Grunewald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Lendemans in the 26th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Görzhausen's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Lendemans came free, but Bernd Grunewald reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Björn Schützer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rasmus Boxmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Bernd Grunewald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfonso Lendemans struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Bernd Grunewald didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Benteler FC. If Alfonso Lendemans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfonso Lendemans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rasmus Boxmann was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Benteler FC's goal looked a bit too open when Björn Schützer came free, but Hasso Rauh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute, one of Benteler FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Benteler FC. In the 59th minute there was a penalty for Görzhausen. Jo Irgang stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hasso Rauh. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Benteler FC's Karl Böcker got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Rüdiger Lemke hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Hasso Rauh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björn Schützer in the 74th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Philipp Grüner notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Benteler FC's Hasso Rauh. Hasso Rauh was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 80th minute, Björn Schützer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Görzhausen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Bernd Grunewald showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rasmus Boxmann in the 83rd minute of the match. Hasso Rauh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philipp Grüner in the 85th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Görzhausen's zone, Alfonso Lendemans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernd Grunewald came out of the goal and Alfonso Lendemans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benteler FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
