After a defensive mix-up in Nußbaum FSV's zone, Matti Besken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luka Warth came out of the goal and Matti Besken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leif Stein might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luka Warth. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leif Stein ran back to his position shaking his head. If Alexander Vöhringer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nußbaum FSV's Julius Hackner got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leif Stein struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Luka Warth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lahr. Alexander Vöhringer's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mauro Kreutzer firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Julius Hackner made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Nußbaum FSV's Julius Hackner nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mauro Kreutzer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Mauro Kreutzer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Brockmüller in the 58th minute of play. The supporters of Nußbaum FSV booed when Lahr was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornelius Maidorn didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauro Kreutzer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alexander Vöhringer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute.
