Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Flemming Fochler dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cosmo Hoeft, 1-0. After 6 played minutes Gemmerich FSV got a freekick which was hit by Tsuneo Allmann. After 7 played minutes, Hüttenheim FSV's Lukas Weixler shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cosmo Hoeft came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hüttenheim FSV reached it. 9 minutes into the match, Gemmerich FSV's Martin Heffungs sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kersten Piter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Martin Heffungs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joakim Ohme charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joakim Ohme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Hüttenheim FSV getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Joakim Ohme hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flemming Fochler in the 16th minute of play forced Gemmerich FSV's goalkeeper Cosmo Hoeft to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kim Bugera who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Cosmo Hoeft when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Martin Heffungs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Hüttenheim FSV defense, Casimir Krughöfer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kersten Piter. The Hüttenheim FSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kersten Piter should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Flemming Fochler kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cosmo Hoeft. That made the score 2-1 in the 25 minute of play. Kersten Piter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Volker Schwenke in the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Heffungs in the 36th minute of play forced Hüttenheim FSV's goalkeeper Kersten Piter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Gemmerich FSV getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Elmar Straubinger hit a great ball. 40 minutes into the match, Volker Schwenke notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Hüttenheim FSV's Kersten Piter. Kersten Piter was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cosmo Hoeft was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Joakim Ohme capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joakim Ohme really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Flemming Fochler kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cosmo Hoeft. That made the score 4-2 in the 47 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flemming Fochler made a kick off. Cosmo Hoeft showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flemming Fochler in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Joakim Ohme ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cosmo Hoeft was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. Cosmo Hoeft came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Hüttenheim FSV's Joakim Ohme. But to his dismay, Joakim Ohme quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martin Heffungs in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kersten Piter saved Hüttenheim FSV from getting behind. Hüttenheim FSV's Kersten Piter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Heffungs in the 74th minute of play. Flemming Fochler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cosmo Hoeft having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Gemmerich FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Kim Bugera came free, but Cosmo Hoeft reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joakim Ohme scored 7-2 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cosmo Hoeft, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Volker Schwenke struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Kersten Piter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gemmerich FSV. Gemmerich FSV's Oliver Merkel got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martin Heffungs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Hüttenheim FSV support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
