Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Viggo Riester started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 8thth minute of the game Chris Wald who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Friedrichstadt FC's Ursus Babel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rainer Staiger in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ursus Babel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Albert Köbler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute Carsten Zeil suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Rainer Staiger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes in the game Artur Durry got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. Ursus Babel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rainer Staiger, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rdth minute of the game Rainer Staiger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Friedrichstadt FC's Ursus Babel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Wald in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ursus Babel saved Friedrichstadt FC from getting behind. In the 40th minute, one of Friedrichstadt FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Friedrichstadt FC. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rainer Staiger made a kick off. Chris Wald's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ursus Babel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Chris Wald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ursus Babel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Chris Wald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artur Durry's late challenge caught a Rönnbaum's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artur Durry helped the player get up and apologised. 71 minutes into the match, Rainer Staiger dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ursus Babel, 0-2. 77 minutes into the game, Rönnbaum's Chris Wald nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ursus Babel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Ursus Babel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rainer Staiger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Albert Köbler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Friedrichstadt FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Rönnbaum's performance. The match ended with a win for Rönnbaum.
