Holger Helbig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Don Mauer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rainer Staiger in the 5th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chris Wald got free with Don Mauer in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 7 played minutes SC Bärenkicker got a freekick which was hit by Gunter Weischede. In the 9th minute, Ehrhard Barthle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Bärenkicker fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ingolf Walser could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Don Mauer made a huge save. Don Mauer was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Rainer Staiger capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rainer Staiger really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xavier Wohlgemuth in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pekko Weidle saved Rönnbaum from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chris Wald got free with Don Mauer in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. SC Bärenkicker's Don Mauer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rainer Staiger in the 23rd minute of play. When Ehrhard Barthle fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Bärenkicker's protests and gave Ehrhard Barthle a yellow card for diving instead. After 25 played minutes SC Bärenkicker got a freekick which was hit by Ehrhard Barthle. Ehrhard Barthle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pekko Weidle having to make a save. After 32 minutes of play, SC Bärenkicker's Uwe Ahlgrimm made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pekko Weidle was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Rönnbaum fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Rönnbaum's Chris Wald looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 39 minutes into the match, Ingolf Walser dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Don Mauer, 3-2. In the 44th minute, Chris Wald got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

56 minutes into the match, SC Bärenkicker's Ehrhard Barthle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pekko Weidle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. SC Bärenkicker's Don Mauer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Wald in the 58th minute of play. When Ingolf Walser came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Rönnbaum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ingolf Walser couldn't finish the play. Chris Wald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Don Mauer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Holger Helbig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pekko Weidle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uwe Ahlgrimm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the game, SC Bärenkicker's Uwe Ahlgrimm nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pekko Weidle made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-5. Pekko Weidle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavier Wohlgemuth, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 91 minutes into the match, SC Bärenkicker's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Wald came free, but Don Mauer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pekko Weidle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uwe Ahlgrimm in the 93rd minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Bärenkicker eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
