The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, 1. FCB's Max Josef Appel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maik Titz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fc Santana fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 6th minute. Penalty! Maik Titz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Max Josef Appel in the 10th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Fc Santana's zone, Jannick Schockenhoff stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maik Titz came out of the goal and Jannick Schockenhoff tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maik Titz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Max Josef Appel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Malte Hecht showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Ellhof, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Jannick Schockenhoff got in the 20th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Maik Titz handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Malte Hecht took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Ellhof, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24thth minute of the game Jannick Schockenhoff who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fc Santana's Maik Titz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Jannick Schockenhoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the game, 1. FCB's Max Josef Appel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maik Titz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Malte Hecht made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Achim Bussler sent off a good shot on target. In the 34th minute, Hans Dieckmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Josua Mehnert, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, 1. FCB's Hans Dieckmann got a free kick in the 36th minute. Luka Giza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Max Josef Appel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maik Titz having to interfere. Max Josef Appel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Maik Titz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maik Titz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Josef Appel in the 44th minute of play. Maik Titz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jannick Schockenhoff in the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Ellhof to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Achim Bussler during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. FCB's Malte Hecht played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Ellhof in the 71st minute of play. The supporters of Fc Santana booed when 1. FCB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Dieckmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Fc Santana's Maik Titz got control of the ball when Max Josef Appel tried to sneak it across the goal line. 1. FCB's Jannick Schockenhoff got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jannick Schockenhoff in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maik Titz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the final whistle sounded 1. FCB left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fc Santana.
