After 9 played minutes, SV Stuttgarter Kickers's Niklas Recknagel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Moritz Weise came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SV Stuttgarter Kickers reached it. When Helfern's Eberhard Steinkamp in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SV Stuttgarter Kickers's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Helfern's Moritz Weise got control of the ball when Philo Krughöfer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Esra Hoppensack recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Philo Krughöfer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Moritz Weise read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Toni Zabel hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, SV Stuttgarter Kickers's Helmar Lüngen got a free kick in the 28th minute. Moritz Weise made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Philo Krughöfer sent off a good shot on target. Eberhard Steinkamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philo Krughöfer might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Moritz Weise. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Philo Krughöfer ran back to his position shaking his head. Markus Edewecht received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Moritz Weise tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Philo Krughöfer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Moritz Weise made a huge save. Philo Krughöfer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Markus Edewecht in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Moritz Weise saved Helfern from getting behind. Philo Krughöfer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Moritz Weise tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Markus Edewecht might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Moritz Weise. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Markus Edewecht ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 57th minute, Gernot Falke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philo Krughöfer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gernot Falke's late challenge caught a SV Stuttgarter Kickers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gernot Falke helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Helfern getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Gernot Falke hit a great ball. Markus Edewecht struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Moritz Weise didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SV Stuttgarter Kickers. Thanks to some nice moves Ulf Bräcklein could shoot a difficult shot in the 70th minute, which Renatus Ewen however easily saved by the left post. 76 minutes into the game, Markus Edewecht cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Moritz Weise was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Philo Krughöfer managed to get in a good position for a shot. SV Stuttgarter Kickers's supporters rose to their feet, but Philo Krughöfer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moritz Weise breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. SV Stuttgarter Kickers's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Toni Zabel in the 92nd minute. After taking down the ball on SV Stuttgarter Kickers's corner Toni Zabel fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Moritz Weise quite easily take care of the ball. In the 94th minute of the match Toni Zabel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Moritz Weise skillfully saved the ball. Moritz Weise took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Markus Edewecht, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Helfern's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
