Heinz Kerschbaumer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ingo Hovermann succeeded in the game's 11th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Heinz Kerschbaumer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ingo Hovermann's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Matthew Della fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heinz Kerschbaumer having to interfere. If Matthew Della had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ingo Hovermann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Heinz Kerschbaumer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as TSV Moorenweis's Fedor Kuckhoff slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Heinz Kerschbaumer. That made the score 4-0 after 48 minutes of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Heinz Kerschbaumer came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by TSV Moorenweis's Matthew Della. But to his dismay, Matthew Della quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Heinz Kerschbaumer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jochen Kunter's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. A collision led to Hertha BSC II getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Grischa Bonhoeffer hit a great ball. After 67 minutes, Kjeld Heber mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hertha BSC II and the TSV Moorenweis players grew even worse after the yellow card. Arno Gehlen hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. With his leg Gero Rausch managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Hertha BSC II's Karl Flug fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingo Hovermann in the 75th minute of play forced Hertha BSC II's goalkeeper Heinz Kerschbaumer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl Flugs short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Gero Rausch to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 79 minutes into the match, Hertha BSC II's goal looked a bit too open when Matthew Della came free, but Heinz Kerschbaumer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute, Ingo Hovermann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TSV Moorenweis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. 95 minutes into the match, Hertha BSC II's goal looked a bit too open when Matthew Della came free, but Heinz Kerschbaumer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Heinz Kerschbaumer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingo Hovermann in the 96th minute of play. Heinz Kerschbaumer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingo Hovermann in the 102nd minute of the match. TSV Moorenweis walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
