Barnabas Blatzheim came out of the goal and Istvan Olivier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marian Sparwasser kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Robin Wenck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barnabas Blatzheim having to interfere. Gerold Schönbeck struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Barnabas Blatzheim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oldschool Kickers.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerold Schönbeck to strike the kick off in the second half. When Mattias Wissel fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Werder FSV's protests and gave Mattias Wissel a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd match minute, Werder FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arne Kölle to maneuver through the defense. Barnabas Blatzheim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerold Schönbeck in the 75th minute of play. Oldschool Kickers were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Werder FSV's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Niklas Nachtwei took the corner. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Werder FSV's goalkeeper Barnabas Blatzheim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gerold Schönbeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barnabas Blatzheim having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Oldschool Kickers players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
