The KFC Uerdingen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Domenico Schwertges should have stopped the shot. Domenico Schwertges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Belusa in the 29th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, KFC Uerdingen's goal looked a bit too open when Samir Wilhelm came free, but Domenico Schwertges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Domenico Schwertges showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Belusa in the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, KFC Uerdingen's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Belusa came free, but Domenico Schwertges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arminia Bielefeld's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Belusa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samir Wilhelm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lukas Schüddekopf made a kick off. Samir Wilhelm could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Domenico Schwertges made a huge save. After 56 played minutes KFC Uerdingen got a freekick which was hit by Markus Schaffrath. In the 57th minute of the match Siegfried Schröder shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Domenico Schwertges showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, KFC Uerdingen's Domenico Schwertges got control of the ball when Samir Wilhelm tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 62 minutes, Samir Wilhelm made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. KFC Uerdingen's Domenico Schwertges tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Frank Belusa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domenico Schwertges having to interfere. After 79 minutes, Samir Wilhelm made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. KFC Uerdingen's Domenico Schwertges tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 83 minutes into the game, Arminia Bielefeld's Hank Linn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Domenico Schwertges made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Samir Wilhelm came free with the goalkeeper in the 85th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Domenico Schwertges could save by the left post. Domenico Schwertges made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hank Linn in the 93rd minute. KFC Uerdingen's Domenico Schwertges proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save KFC Uerdingen from getting a goal against them. Arminia Bielefeld's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
