Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Frank Belusa started the match with the kick off. TSV Langenhagen's Leon Erler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franz Zimmermann in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th match minute, TSV Langenhagen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Issey Hug to maneuver through the defense. Leon Erler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franz Zimmermann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute Frank Belusa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Erler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leon Erler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Belusa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the game, Issey Hug was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TSV Langenhagen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arminia Bielefeld the free kick. The supporters of Arminia Bielefeld booed when TSV Langenhagen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Issey Hug didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the TSV Langenhagen defense, Samir Wilhelm kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leon Erler. The TSV Langenhagen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leon Erler should have stopped the shot. Samir Wilhelm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Leon Erler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 39 played minutes TSV Langenhagen got a freekick which was hit by Kasimir Klause. After the first half Arminia Bielefeld were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fritz Strzelczyk to make the kick off. TSV Langenhagen's Leon Erler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save TSV Langenhagen from getting a goal against them. The supporters of TSV Langenhagen booed when Arminia Bielefeld was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franz Zimmermann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Klaus Sombrutzki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandro Horsmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leon Erler made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Hank Linn sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Zaman Kolb managed to get in a good position for a shot. TSV Langenhagen's supporters rose to their feet, but Zaman Kolb was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Klaus Sombrutzki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leon Erler made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Hank Linn sent off a good shot on target. Sandro Horsmann hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in TSV Langenhagen's zone, Siegfried Schröder stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Erler came out of the goal and Siegfried Schröder tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Frank Belusa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Leon Erler. That made the score 0-2 in the 70 minute of play. When Fritz Strzelczyk came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the TSV Langenhagen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fritz Strzelczyk couldn't finish the play. Klaus Sombrutzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaman Kolb in the 86th minute of play. After 95 minutes of play, Arminia Bielefeld's Hank Linn made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leon Erler was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match was over Arminia Bielefeld could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than TSV Langenhagen throughout the match.
