The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Heinz Schüten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 11 minutes, Jonas Goldmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Barssa2022's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonas Goldmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Dinamo Bucuresti 1948's zone, Jonas Goldmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Helmar Boes came out of the goal and Jonas Goldmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Helmar Boes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heintje Sigrist in the 14th minute of play. Jonas Goldmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Helmar Boes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonas Goldmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to FC Dinamo Bucuresti 1948 getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Heinz Schüten hit a great ball. Heinz Schüten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Roman Zeil made the kick off in the second half. In the 68th minute, Mike Strobl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonas Goldmann might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Helmar Boes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonas Goldmann ran back to his position shaking his head. Helmar Boes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovid Abraham, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Jonas Goldmann took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Helmar Boes to make any attempt to save it.
