Spectators: 5727 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Markus Hanke started the match with the kick off. FC Barssa2022's Kim Helbig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Genz in the 6th minute of play. Erdal Aigle charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erdal Aigle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Sven Bauriegel came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the FC Barssa2022 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven Bauriegel couldn't finish the play. Sven Bauriegel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edbert Darmstadt in the 20th minute of play forced FC Barssa2022's goalkeeper Kim Helbig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kim Helbig didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edbert Darmstadt went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Sönke Marks placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After 29 minutes, Sven Bauriegel made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Aufurth FC's Lothar Scharpe tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sven Bauriegel had several of the Aufurth FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 39 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Lothar Scharpe as he didn't even see the shot coming. When Erik Genz fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aufurth FC's protests and gave Erik Genz a yellow card for diving instead. Erik Genz kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. A hard shot 43 in the game by Sven Bauriegel from a close distance when the talented Lothar Scharpe managed to make a qualified save. Aufurth FC's players were relieved. Kim Helbig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markus Hanke in the 45th minute of play. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

A collision led to Aufurth FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Markus Hanke hit a great ball. Sven Bauriegel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the match, FC Barssa2022's goalkeeper Kim Helbig had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edbert Darmstadt. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Sven Bauriegel managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Barssa2022's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven Bauriegel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lothar Scharpe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erdal Aigle got his second yellow card in the match during the 65th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Erdal Aigle kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. After 66 played minutes, Aufurth FC's Henry Kienast shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kim Helbig came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Aufurth FC reached it. Kim Helbig made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Edbert Darmstadt sent off a good shot on target. When Heintje Sigrist fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Barssa2022's protests and gave Heintje Sigrist a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sven Bauriegel in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lothar Scharpe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 81 minutes into the match, FC Barssa2022's goalkeeper Kim Helbig had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edbert Darmstadt. Edbert Darmstadt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kim Helbig having to make a save. In the 86th minute, Sven Bauriegel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lothar Scharpe was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Markus Hanke received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kim Helbig came out and tried to block the shot, but Markus Hanke slotted it home off the left post making it 3-3 in the 89th minute. In the 94th match minute, Aufurth FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovid Seidenberg to maneuver through the defense.
