Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Otmar Reus took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd match minute, Hochstadt FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kostja Baumeister to maneuver through the defense. In the 3rdth minute of the game Otmar Reus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hochstadt FSV's Caspar Berg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Martin Fleckenstein's late challenge caught a Hochstadt FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Fleckenstein helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th minute of the match Eberhard Schicker shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Franz Hormes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Franz Hormes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lovis Rampp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lovis Rampp in the 11th minute of play forced FC LAUENBURG's goalkeeper Franz Hormes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Franz Hormes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lovis Rampp in the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Engelbert Borchert in the 20th minute of play forced FC LAUENBURG's goalkeeper Franz Hormes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Engelbert Borchert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franz Hormes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Fleckenstein hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Lovis Rampp got in the 29th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Franz Hormes handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Franz Hormes came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Hochstadt FSV's Lovis Rampp. But to his dismay, Lovis Rampp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lovis Rampp in the 39th minute of play forced FC LAUENBURG's goalkeeper Franz Hormes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hochstadt FSV's Engelbert Borchert got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Engelbert Borchert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Hochstadt FSV getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Wolfram Bastmüller hit a great ball. Franz Hormes was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Engelbert Borchert capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Engelbert Borchert really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Franz Hormes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Engelbert Borchert in the 57th minute of play. If Lovis Rampp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lovis Rampp who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Franz Hormes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Franz Hormes didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 62nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. Franz Hormes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lovis Rampp in the 70th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Otmar Reus during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Hochstadt FSV booed when FC LAUENBURG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otmar Reus didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute, Hochstadt FSV's Engelbert Borchert dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. 78 minutes into the game, Lovis Rampp cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Franz Hormes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 95th minute, Engelbert Borchert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Hochstadt FSV eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
