The mood of the audience was pleasant when Adam Wilmen made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Lorenz Palmer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Leif Volz managed to get in a good position for a shot. SV Wehen Wiesbaden's supporters rose to their feet, but Leif Volz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Friedrich Laier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Gaede in the 10th minute of play forced Niederholsten's goalkeeper Friedrich Laier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Holger Riemann charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Holger Riemann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leif Volz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Friedrich Laier having to interfere. If Leif Volz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, Niederholsten's goal looked a bit too open when Sandro Gaede came free, but Friedrich Laier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leif Volz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Adam Wilmen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leif Volz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Friedrich Laier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leif Volz in the 31st minute of play forced Niederholsten's goalkeeper Friedrich Laier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sandro Gaede received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Friedrich Laier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Friedrich Laier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leif Volz in the 39th minute of the match. After 44 minutes of play, SV Wehen Wiesbaden's Sandro Gaede made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Friedrich Laier was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Oliver Leopold managed to get in a good position for a shot. Niederholsten's supporters rose to their feet, but Oliver Leopold was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermann Decker in the 81st minute of play forced SV Wehen Wiesbaden's goalkeeper Nico Brübach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the match, SV Wehen Wiesbaden's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Wilmen came free, but Nico Brübach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Niederholsten's Oliver Leopold got a free kick in the 95th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SV Wehen Wiesbaden had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
