In the 13th minute Marc Szolkowy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ole Dirkes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erwin Flamme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Gil Haemer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hannes Beiches short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Ole Dirkes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 22nd minute, Erwin Flamme left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Preußen Münster fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 24th match minute, Idelberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Funk to maneuver through the defense. Idelberg's Gil Haemer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erwin Flamme in the 25th minute of play. If Marc Szolkowy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Wim Gonder came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the SC Preußen Münster fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wim Gonder couldn't finish the play. Gil Haemer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erwin Flamme, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Boris Heilmann hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Erwin Flamme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Gil Haemer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Idelberg's Hannes Beiche got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Erland Edewecht kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Erwin Flamme sped through Idelberg's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gil Haemer. After a defensive mix-up in SC Preußen Münster's zone, Michael Teufel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ole Dirkes came out of the goal and Michael Teufel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Axel Funk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Ole Dirkes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Erwin Flamme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Idelberg supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Preußen Münster's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Preußen Münster.
