Eckart Lohmiller started the match with the kick off. With an all-out effort, MKS Pogon Szczecin's Norbert Storr threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Patrick Olk, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Eckart Lohmiller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Ilja Reiss tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, MKS Pogon Szczecin's goal looked a bit too open when Benny Leyh came free, but Ilja Reiss reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Harro Fischer notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of ESKİSEHİR SK's Norbert Storr. Norbert Storr was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Norbert Storr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andi Cramer in the 15th minute of play. Andi Cramer struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Norbert Storr didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MKS Pogon Szczecin. If Andi Cramer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ilja Reiss took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eckart Lohmiller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in MKS Pogon Szczecin's zone, Benny Leyh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ilja Reiss came out of the goal and Benny Leyh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Harro Fischer struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Norbert Storr didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MKS Pogon Szczecin. After 32 played minutes, MKS Pogon Szczecin's Sammy Anolphi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Norbert Storr came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in MKS Pogon Szczecin reached it. Andi Cramer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Norbert Storr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Eckart Lohmiller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andi Cramer in the 48th minute of play forced ESKİSEHİR SK's goalkeeper Norbert Storr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andi Cramer made a kick off. In the 68th minute Eckart Lohmiller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilja Reiss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. MKS Pogon Szczecin's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Benny Leyh scored to the left of an out of position Ilja Reiss, making the score, 2-1. 77 minutes into the match, MKS Pogon Szczecin's Andi Cramer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Norbert Storr narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Norbert Storr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harro Fischer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kevin Jablonski kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Jo Bozkurt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Eckart Lohmiller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. ESKİSEHİR SK's Eckart Lohmiller got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. MKS Pogon Szczecin's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
