When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adam Wilmen to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Hermann Decker notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of 1. FC Kleve's Feddo Barz. Feddo Barz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Niederholsten booed when 1. Feddo Barz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Wilmen, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. If Hermann Decker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
