Cergowa CCCP's Tobias Scholl proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Cergowa CCCP from getting a goal against them. Michael Wahlberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Markus Ankleider read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

55 minutes into the game, Sönke Schramm recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Markus Ankleider. Sönke Schramm showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. 59 minutes into the match, FC Philcity's goalkeeper Markus Ankleider had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Don Blohm. Julius Walloch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Don Blohm got free with Markus Ankleider in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Markus Ankleider made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Don Blohm sent off a good shot on target. In the 86th minute, one of FC Philcity:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Philcity. Sönke Schramm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cergowa CCCP's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
