To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Claus Melzer fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sitterswald's protests and gave Claus Melzer a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sitterswald's Claus Melzer got a free kick in the 13th minute. The audience was convinced that Flo Rombach's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pär Silz was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. After having played for 38 minutes, Hanno Tannhof managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sagemuhle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hanno Tannhof was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 40 played minutes Sitterswald got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Stöhr. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sitterswald's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Flo Rombach was slow to take the kick. During this time Sagemuhle's players had a chance to rest. Karl Schuckarts short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Pär Silz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sagemuhle's Jens Mann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claus Melzer in the 46th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hanno Tannhof in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pär Silz prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

In the 80thth minute of the game Flo Rombach who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sitterswald's Pär Silz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Hanno Tannhof had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jens Mann.
