Spectators: 7399 (Terracing: 5655, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 11) FC Bayern München's Stefan Breiffel started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Markus Ankleider made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Breiffel in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of FC Bayern München booed when FC Philcity was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Palle Zehle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bonifatius Portner in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnold Bauer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leif-Eric Göhner charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leif-Eric Göhner the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th match minute, FC Philcity was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leif-Eric Göhner to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to FC Philcity getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Bernhard Steffel hit a great ball. Stefan Breiffel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Markus Ankleider tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Breiffel in the 33rd minute of play forced FC Philcity's goalkeeper Markus Ankleider to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Bayern München's Wofgang Schelp got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 37 minutes, Stefan Breiffel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Bayern München's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stefan Breiffel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Markus Ankleider didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 39th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Markus Ankleider took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Breiffel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stefan Breiffel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gero Partschs short, quick shot in the 49thth minute got Markus Ankleider to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julius Walloch stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Markus Ankleider made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Breiffel in the 53rd minute of play. Markus Ankleider took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stefan Breiffel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnold Bauer made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Julius Walloch sent off a good shot on target. If Bonifatius Portner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stefan Breiffel took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Markus Ankleider. Markus Ankleider dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Julius Walloch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bonifatius Portner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnold Bauer having to interfere. After 76 minutes of play, FC Bayern München's Stefan Breiffel made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Markus Ankleider was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arnold Bauer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julius Walloch in the 80th minute of play. Markus Ankleider showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gero Partsch, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. When Bernhard Steffel fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Philcity's protests and gave Bernhard Steffel a yellow card for diving instead. After 82 played minutes FC Philcity got a freekick which was hit by Bernhard Steffel. A collision led to FC Philcity getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Bernhard Steffel hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rainer Mayer during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 played minutes FC Philcity got a freekick which was hit by Rainer Mayer. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Breiffel in the 88th minute of play forced FC Philcity's goalkeeper Markus Ankleider to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Markus Ankleider took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gero Partsch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Stefan Breiffel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute Gero Partsch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Markus Ankleider saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnold Bauer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julius Walloch in the 95th minute of play. FC Bayern München were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
