Don Blohms short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Lothar Groth to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Lothar Groth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sönke Schramm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lothar Groth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Don Blohm in the 31st minute. Boris Henn's late challenge caught a Cergowa CCCP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Boris Henn helped the player get up and apologised. Lothar Groth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sönke Schramm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ludolf Gerigk hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.
